“trying to install on Samsung 4k tv. I have 1 hdmi cable that’s already plugged into my cable box. The Roku says they need 1 to be plugged into the tv. So just making sure- I need two HdMI cables, one to view HD tv AND one to view HD programming on Roku??”

Yes I have one HDMI cable from the cable box to the TV and then a second HDMI cable from the Roku to the TV. You simply choose the # of the HDMI outlet the Roku is connected to. I hope this helps.
