“Do the sudden and loud click/pop noises lessen over time? I'm not using the ice maker and have it turned off. I'm pretty sure the sounds are caused by interior materials contracting/expanding during the cycle. Only had the fridge 24 hours so far.”

I just look up sounds in owner's manual to understand where they are coming from. Sounds normal. You will get used to them. Eventually you won't even hear them anymore. I am not worried about the sounds.
