When I open the door I only need an extra inch on the door’s side. (I also have a small galley kitchen.)

Hi this fridge was actually great for a smaller space. I replaced an old fridge from when I bought my house and I actually have more space and I would say no that you wouldn't need any extra space. The shape on this fridge is different than most standard fridges and in my opinion more space efficient.
