Thanks for the question. The RF217ACPN does have a door alarm to alert you if the door is left open, though it wouldn't start beeping until it detects it's been open for more than just a few minutes. If the wires that connect the door sensors are not connected properly, the alarm may not sound. This happens on occasion if the door was removed during delivery and installation of the refrigerator, though I would suggest checking this connection regardless of whether the doors have been removed. To check the wiring harness connections, use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws and lift the hinge cover. Illustrated instructions can be found on pages 11-13 of the User Manual which can be downloaded as a pdf file from Samsung's website for easy reference. - Ms. Samsung
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes it has one, and is very quiet but auduble, if that makes sense. Its a very low chime, kinda like when your keys are in the ignition and the door is open on a newer car. My wife kept turning the part on the left door before closing and they looked closed but wouldnt seal and I kept hearing this noise, the kind that makes you tell everyone shhhhh and you turn the tv down and be real quiet and try to find it. I must have opened the fridge looking for the noise and closed the doors again not knowing they were open at least a dozen times before I figured out what the noise was
