“I'm new to soundbars. Does this TV Soundbar power itself off if TV programming is paused for too long? If so, is there a way to disable that feature? Will a DirecTV remote (RC66X) power this soundbar on/off & control the volume?”

• I don’t know about non-Samsung TVs but it auto powers off with my Samsung tv.

• No this soundbar does not power off while the TV is on and source is paused. I have another brand soundbar that does power off after a few minutes of inactivity like when I pause Netflix to go take a bathroom/kitchen break or when I switch over to headphones for a while and when that happens I have to cycle the power off and on again to wake it up. Very bad feature to be sure. Thankfully Samsung does not do this.
