Can the sound bar be control by my samsung tv remote or do i need to use the remote included with the soundbar? null

You need to use soundbar remote, Samsung TV remote cannot work with this soundbar.

Yes. Just switch the input setting to the sound bar and that's it! Cable remote and TV remote can both control sound bar.

You can control the volume with tv remote, but for other options, you need to use the one came with.

My Samsung TV automatically connected to this Soundbar and l was able to use both my TV and cable provider's remotes to adjust volume. I imagine this is only a feature of the newer TVs though. 

If your TV does not support this feature you can use the provided Optical Cable and connect through the Digital In port which will use your existing remote to adjust the volume.
