• Yes. It will connect via wifi or optical out. As long as you can do one or the other you will be fine.

• I have mine hooked up to an Insignia. As long as you can connect it vie optic or HDMI cable, it shouldn't be a problem. You'll have to use 2 remotes (1 for TV, one for sound bar) unless you're TV can be controlled from your phone. Then, you can control them both from your phone (different apps, of course).
