It'll hook up to whatever you need it to. If your receiver has Optical Out you should be good. It has an aux-input, but wouldn't recommend that as I don't think it'll support quality 2.1 for movies, but music would be fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Only if you are crazy. A receiver is going to send an amplified signal to the soundbar which a built-in amplifier. You need to get speakers. If you just got 2 medium quality speakers and a powered subwoofer, you would get better sound effects that this soundbar is going to give you.
