• If you connect using HDMI the volume will be controlled from the usual TV

• I'm not sure about tge xfinity remote, but the samsung smart sound remote syncs via Bluetooth directly between my phone and the sound bar. Works good enough for me, esp when I can't find tge sound bar remote that cane came with it.
