• Hi Eliot! If you connect the HW-T450 Soundbar to your TV through the optical cable, you will be able to connect the Samsung wireless rear speakers. Your HW-T450 Soundbar is compatible with the Samsung SWA-8500S Rear Speaker Kit. ^Patty

• The optical connection will work and the two speakers will pair automatically or you can do it manually. Read the instructions. My display never worked after the first time of using it.
