• Yes if you're blu ray player is hooked up to your TV, anything you play through your TV this will be the speakers it plays through. I smart cast alot for this purpose. Great quality connections. No loss of sound or anything.

• Hi PC! Yes, if you connect the soundbar to the TV using the included digital optical audio cable, all audio from the TV will be played through the soundbar. ^Tim
