“Does the 22.5 Cu. Ft measurement take into account the lost space due to the ice maker and thru-the door apparatus?”

Hi Mike, The capacity of the RF23HCEDBSR is determined per Energy Star's measurement standards which, as of last September, are based on actual usable space without the ice maker. The ice chute would also not be included in "usable space". Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung

It reduces some of the space for condiments in that door in that area. There is plenty of space elsewhere though.
