How big are the ice cubes? My husband has asked that I get a model that doesn't have large or odd crescent shaped ice cubes. I have heard that some models actually have a way to change the size of the ice cubes. How big and what shape does this model make?

The ice cubes are actually small, not large at all. They are, however, crescent, or half-moon shaped. You can turn on the crushed ice mode if you want to crush them. Noting will make them pop out looking like a star or turtle, though.

This refrigerator makes crescent shaped ice cubes approximately an inch long. I am not aware of a feature that can change the shape of the ice cube unless you change the setting to crushed ice.

Thanks for the question. Unfortunately I don't have a measurement available for the size of the ice that's produced by the RF23J9011SR, but I can tell you the ice is crescent shaped.
