• A:Answer This may have been the model from the previous year. Consumer Reports gave the model a not so stellar rating and Samsung went back and re-did the version for this year. It now has one of the best ratings that CR gives for this product.

• A:Answer If it has an anit-fingerprint coating as Mr. Samsung says, it has to be one of the worst. I have to constantly wipe my kids fingerprints off of it. That said, it is a very minor annoyance to me as I absolutely love almost everything else about it.

Q: QuestionHow big are the ice cubes?My husband has asked that I get a model that doesn't have large or odd crescent shaped ice cubes. I have heard that some models actually have a way to change the size of the ice cubes. How big and what shape does this model make?

• A:Answer The ice cubes are actually small, not large at all. They are, however, crescent, or half-moon shaped. You can turn on the crushed ice mode if you want to crush them. Noting will make them pop out looking like a star or turtle, though.

• A:Answer Hi Terry, The RF23J9011SR measures 35-3/4" wide by 70-3/4" high without the hinges and doors (71-7/8" with them) by 24-1/16" deep without the doors. The depth with the doors is 28-7/8". Thanks for your interest! Ms. Samsung

The clearance of 3/8" at the top is from the height including the door (71-7/8") or just the unit excluding the door (70-3/4")?

• A:Answer The difference is the ShowCase feature. On the right top quadrant, the door is kind of a double layer. You can open just the outer part to reach in for things in the door buckets - like sodas or condiments. Or, you can open the whole, thicker door to reach into the main compartment. My son and I looked at some like this at the store (may not have been this same brand). You have to grab the door in a different way to get both layers to open, which I thought was kind of awkward. I'm going to buy the model that's $300 less and forego what I think is kind of a trendy feature. I think it's meant to save energy, but I doubt we'd use it that much.

The available interior dimensions of this model are as follows: The interior of the refrigerator compartment is 33" wide, and the shelves are 13-3/4" deep. Each lower compartment (freezer and convertible FlexZone) is 15-1/4" wide; the depth to the front edge of the case is 16-3/4", and the bin depth is 13-3/4". - Ms. Samsung

Q: QuestionDo doors hit cabinet when fridge is fully inserted into cabinet?If the fridge is inserted into the cabinets so that all of the gray side wall is concealed (just gray side wall, not gasket or doors), do the door corners hit the cabinets when fully opened? Seems this may be the case in looking at it in the store. If so can the door hinges be adjusted so they don't swing open too far and hit cabinets?

• A:Answer the doors may hit the counter when you open them fully unless the main portion of the unit extends about 1" past the edge of the countertop. If you have this enclosed in a cabinet that is not surrounded by actual countertop, depending on the width of the side borders of the cabinet, you may be able to have it flush with the cabinet. You will have to measure and look at the gap on the display model.
