QuestionWhat is that HORRIFIC LOUD GURGLING noise???? Sounds like I have an aquarium in my kitchen. We can hear it over conversations and the TV!!! I have read many reviews complaining of this same sound.

Question+I have looked for almost a year to find a fridge, to fit my space.This one is counter deep. This one is perfect except for the hight.I only have 69 inches.How high is this one without the door hinges on top?

QuestionIs there a way to clean the coils under this refrigerator? Which direction are the coils set up, length ways from back to front, or side to side? With a cat and a dog it is necessary to clean under refrigerator.

QuestionOn the top with hinges is 71.875 inches tall. How many inches does the hinges on top from front to back before it goes down to 70.75 inches towards the back? Another words, how many inches deep are hinges from front to back model RF23J9011?

QuestionHow do the doors open on top and bottom. Are there handle areas that are recessed? I don't see an actual handle. We want to be sure we don't have to bend to the ground to open the bottom set of doors.

QuestionWhy does the preset Flex Zone have a temperature of 41 degrees Fahrenheit for the high, then 30 degrees for the next preset setting? A refrigerator should be set at 40 degrees Fahrenheit or lower, so why did Samsung make this preset at 41 degrees F?

- Answer We have one, it's listed as a cooler, we store water and other drinks at drinkable temps, this also removes these drinks from your normal fridge space, we really like it. I thought it was weird at first as well

QuestionI'm impressed with the 4.5 star rating here for the RF23J9011SG, but concerned about the poor rating (2.6) for the RF23J9011SR at Amazon. Is the RF23J9011SG an improved version of the RF23J9011SR?

- Answer "They are from two different product lines/series." By FeyBBY September 15, 2017. That answer is not helpful. Both models appear to be from the SAME product line/series. The only difference is the "R" is 28" deep vs 29" for the "G". Also the finish is different, Stainless Steel for the "R", and Black Stainless Steel for the "G". They look the same inside & out. Yet the "R" gets only 2.6 stars at Amazon (44% 1 star!), and the "G" gets 4.5 stars here (???) I just want to know if the "G" is an improved model, as it's virtually the same as the "R". Otherwise, there's a glaring discrepancy between reviews, and makes me question them. I trust Amazon.

QuestionWhat is that LOUD GURGLING NOISE when the motor is running? Sounds like an aquarium in the kitchen. I've read many complaints of this on reviews. Some have said they've returned the refrigerator because of the noise.

QuestionHow close to a wall can this refrigerator be placed? How wide do the doors have to open in order to open the drawers? I ask because our refrigerator opening is 36.625" wide with a wall on the right side. If necessary we can expand this to ~37.5" or so.

QuestionDoes it have FlexZone to convert Freezer to Fridge?Samsung site mentions that bottom right door of this model can be converted into fridge / freezer as needed but there is nothing stating on bestbuy site so need to confirm if this is a valid feature

This type of refrigerator does not have any child lock regarding your concern. However, this has a door alarm which means if the fridge door is left open for too long, an alarm with beep out. QuestionDoes this model have the fan icing problem? MsSamsungWe have a Samsung RF263AERS French door that we are manually defrosting (remove every thing and wait for 24 hours) for the 3rd time in 6 months. The area where the refrigerator fan is located will ice up and when the blades begin to hit the ice the fan makes a screeching noise and will eventually quit cooling. This was a common problem for several models resulting in Internet complaint boards, videos of the manual de-icing process and filing of a class action law suit. We have to replace this refrigerator. My wife says No Samsung but we do like the features of this Flex door and the Flex drawer. So - has the fan icing problem been fixed ?
