This type of refrigerator does not have any child lock regarding your concern. However, this has a door alarm which means if the fridge door is left open for too long, an alarm with beep out. QuestionDoes this model have the fan icing problem? MsSamsungWe have a Samsung RF263AERS French door that we are manually defrosting (remove every thing and wait for 24 hours) for the 3rd time in 6 months. The area where the refrigerator fan is located will ice up and when the blades begin to hit the ice the fan makes a screeching noise and will eventually quit cooling. This was a common problem for several models resulting in Internet complaint boards, videos of the manual de-icing process and filing of a class action law suit. We have to replace this refrigerator. My wife says No Samsung but we do like the features of this Flex door and the Flex drawer. So - has the fan icing problem been fixed ?
