• You might want to check with ate store you bought it with because the one I got has one.

• 17.5 wide 15.5 deep. Kenneth originally posted this correctly and is the reason we bought this side by side. Thanks goes to Kenneth because if he had not posted the shelf dimensions it would’ve been a deal breaker.

• I reread your question and I just realized mine does not have one as well. I believe it’s intentional because if you put a shelf there it might not close due to drawer on the bottom
