Q: QuestionOnce installed, how long does it take for the frig/freezer to get cold?

• A:Answer Well I asked the question, and since we bought this model, I will answer my own question. Installers said it would be 4 hours for frig and freezer to come to temp. The unit was at temp in approx 2.5-3 hours (frig at 37 degrees, freezer at zero degrees). Ice is a different story. Installer recommended dumping first two buckets of ice so that water line would be cleared of any residue. So it was a good 24 hours before we started using ice. I will say the ice cubes are small and white. Kind of wimpy ice cubes. . Thanks to all who answered the questions.

• A:Answer It does not. I purchased a great clear lucite egg holder at an outlet mall. It holds 24 eggs. It fits great underneath the extension for the ice and water mechanisms inside the fridge.

• A:Answer I have a whole house reverse osmosis system connected to mine, I feel that it is a lot faster than my previous side-by-side with a filter bypass.. My children are impatient and like the speed, they have commented as well. It may have to do with the line you have running to the fridge or the lines in the fridge becoming clogged as well.

Q: QuestionIs the door hinge extend out beyond the side of refrig when the door opens?I have a tight space. Wondering if french doors open how much do they extend? The width is 65 inches if the door opens with the hinge going out instead of a flush with the side of refrig it will make the door extend beyound 65 inches!

• A:Answer It does yes. We have ours with a 3 inch gap between one wall and the frig door. This allows the door to open close to straight out perpendicular with the wall. If you check specs on line at Samsung it will show you what is required for space and openings

• A:Answer The RF263BEAEWW is one of the newer 2012 models, and features a redesigned control panel, new HE LED lighting (compared to standard LED in the RF267AERS, which is also very efficient) and the new Ice Master icemaker which takes up less space but produces more ice than the previous design. The Ice Master produces up to 10 pounds of ice per day under ideal conditions. The RF263BEAEWW also uses the newer slim design HAF-CIN water filter that is conveniently located between the crisper drawers. It's also important to note that the RF267AERS has a real stainless steel finish, while the RF263BEAEWW is white, though it is also available in real stainless as well as black.
