No. In fact all doors can operate independently.

No they do not. You can open the freezer very easily without the other doors open. I also like how the top drawer in the freezer can be slid back so you can reach the other part of the freezer without any trouble. It's very easy to open and close. Also like that I can open one side of the French doors without having to open both side. Hope this helps.
