Open freezer door, remove upper ice maker panel, press on off switch to on, replace panel. Wait one day for ice maker to ice bin. There is no on off for water filter.

The genuine water filter that comes with the refrigerator does not need to be turned on anymore. When the water filter is installed correctly, it passively works when the refrigerator is connected to a water supply line. The water filter is located in the fridge compartments lower right-hand side. The refrigerator has a control/feature panel located in the fridge compartments right-hand side. The panel will have a button labeled Ice Maker with corresponding indicators above it (Ice Maker On and Ice Maker Off).
