I understand Samsung may have done away with the tray because the old ones got dirty or filled with water. My solution to Samsung is fix the leaking problem and a drain tray won’t be needed. My fridge has a drip after dispensing ice that often runs down the front of the door of the fridge. Sometimes, if I’m not paying attention, I will open the door only to have the water that has dripped down splash out onto the floor. I’d rather have the drip tray. I know how to keep it cleaned out so that there’s no nastiness.
