Two guys lifted the machines and my wife slid the pedestal underneath. Very simple.

Please try again later.The correct way to do it would be to move the washer and dryer out of position, lift them onto the pedestals and lock them with the clamps that are supplied, then move them back into position. This does require a lot of effort, but I'm not sure the pedestals are strong enough laterally to withstand tilting them back vertical with the units attached, and it may be more difficult to lock the units' feet into the clamps on the pedestals with no weight on them. Note that there are leveling feet under the pedestals as well, but the installers recommended not extending them, because they had encountered numerous washer vibration issues with the feet extended.
