“Is the fingerprint resistance simply a coating? If so, is it thin, such that a scratch would reveal silver underneath? Just wondering whether this feature will wear with time and if we may be better off getting silver stainless steel to begin with.”

I have not noticed anything about fingerprints or resistance, but I can tell you that it seems durable. Sorry i cant tell you more, but there was no other answer and I want to help. I will be giving a review about this tonight.
