You're absolutely right, tapinsharon! This model does require some extra space for proper ventilation and function. This link (https://bit.ly/3w1wxt6) is to the installation manual for this model. Beginning on page 5 you'll find all the location requirements, including the cutout dimensions. ^Jecca
