I went to BedtBuy found this model on display, unplugged the power cord and plugged it back in, tv powered back on, which is what I wanted. I use a timer at times to power on a couple of TVs at different times to give the appearance of someone being home, if I am not going to be home until late. This TV works just fine for that function, I just have it connected to over the air channels, so all I need is the TV plugged into the timer.
