An App (on this tv for most else) is a trendy word for "webpage" that allows you to sign into a service like Netflix. It comes with a bunch of others like Directtv Now, Hulu, Amazon Prime, You tube TV (paid subscription), Samsung TV--you can sign up through PayPal (hint, hit, it isn't free), and more. There are some boring, useless, free stations that automatically come on--it plays one as default to annoy you while you attempt to select the app you want. You can also download apps not pre-installed you want. It's clunky, but you can also access the internet.
