It is a 1080p but please read my revised review. I changed it to a 5 stars because when Samsung Tech Support assisted me, the TV just needed to be unplugged and after 30 seconds plugged. It worked perfectly. The TV was working okay as before. I guess with all the fluctuations in the power supply because of some severe weather we have experiencing in my area, it somehow affected my TV. (That is just my conjecture). But I am now so happy with the results!
