Depends on your cable provider. I replaced my mom old tv for same reason. I did away with the converter by using streaming app from cable provider. Very easy set up.

However, If you got this converter from you cable provider, just get the digital (hdmi) box and enjoy the 1080 p resolution & features. Or, if you have internet, try a Roku, Wired or wireless. If you have neither internet or cable service, depending on your location, there's always an HD antenna choice for local stations. It's a great 32" TV.

Once you have basic tv on your account you can download the Spectrum app and run it on Apple or Samsung app . You will see the full channel lineup and get over wifi or Ethernet connected tvs. Look at the top of the picture. You’ll see the Spectrum header and it’s the only way you can watch cnn who is old school. FYI my wife and I are OG. Just takes 10 minutes to explain how to get to the channel lineup and switch back and forth to Netflix. Fortunately there are hot buttons on the Samsung controller to make it easy for OG’s
