Reviews note the sound is not acceptable---has this been generally reported? null

I replaced my old tv of similar size and inserted it into the entertainment center. The sound is horrible. I can hear tinny scritches from the speaker (tweeters?) when I'm in the other room. I don't know if it's bc it's surrounded by wood or bc the speakers face down or what.
Anyway, I bought an insignia soundbar and it sounds great now.

I set up this TV in our second bedroom. The sound seems fine to me.

I'm satisfied with the sound. The TV is in a smaller room so it is about 10 ft from where I watch it. I'm not watching anything besides standard TV shows so I have no experience with its performance with soundtracks.
