• If you don't want the use of WiFi, don't hook it up. It works fine without it.

• Thanks for asking! Yes, you can choose to leave the Wi-Fi disconnected, though there may be some Smart Features that will not function without an internet connection. These features are primarily the ability to control or monitor the unit from a mobile device. ^Jecca
