Yes it is possible to silence all the tones---it is in the manual.

You'll see a "*Sound" label underneath this button to indicate that it controls the signal tones when pressed and held. This setting (silence or tones) will be maintained even if you turn off the washer.

This is how you turn off the beautiful music and make your housework humdrum again: Press and hold the Temp button for a few seconds until the joy is faded out of your life and the sound icon (above the word "rinse") turns red. If you desperately miss the beautiful music, press and hold the Temp button again until pretty flowers float in the air and cute little bluebirds flitter around your head.
