Although I can't directly answer, what I can say that mine is in an enclosed cabinet space that was designed for CRT TVs, so it is deep. Nevertheless, I have not experienced any heating issues within this space, so probably could be placed in bookshelves without overheating.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. The legs are perfect to allow the tv to sit up and not touch anything. I had it sitting on a bookshelf before I mounted it UP on the wall.BUT, I would suggest mounting it with holders so it does not lean forward and fall. It's a great tv.
