We bought this TV to replace an old one that finally broke after 14 years. We have this in our bedroom and I only watch every night a 30 minute show before going to bed. I never thought of touching it. I guess it all depends on the number of hours you have this on. We have a 65 inch in our living room which we turn on for maybe 8 to 10 hours a day.
