• Yes. Go into SETTINGS, GENERAL, ECO SOLUTION, turn off AMBIENT LIGHT DETECTION.

• I have done the General and and turned off eco also I have all Samsung smart all under 3 years old (5) never had the picture so dark I have tried everything I have it hooked to my high def cable box also I am wondering if the HDMI cable should be more powerful or updated? Always happy with the clearness just a very dark picture

• I think that it is built into the tv so it reacts to the light around it..........
