“can I hookup good old fashion coax cable from my cable tv box to this set??? And does any one know if they make adaptors to go from the old (RCA) type connections to the new HDMI connections so I can still hook up old gaming consoles and vcr's??? Thanks”

YES for the Coax, and Yes for the adapter from RCA to HDMI, keep in mind that the resolution will be absolutely low on RCA due to its limitations. Good luck..
