Q: QuestionI see various info on the web re: the refresh rate of the 2018 Q6F. The 2017 Q6F in 49" had a 60hz refresh for an effective motion rate of 120hz. For 2018, the Q6F is listed as a true 120hz set, i.e. 240 hz motion rate. Samsung says 60/120MR for '18. ?
Asked by MB.
- A:Answer I had the same question and spoke with a supervisor from Samsung. The 2018 Q6F in 49" is 60/120mr. The 2018 Q6F in 55" and 65" are 120/240mr. Also, I brought to attention the possible error on their website and supervisor said they would fix it. I have attached photos for your convenience.

Q: QuestionCan I use a dvd player with this TV? Are there ports to plug in the red, white and yellow plugs from the dvd to the tv?
Asked by lumpy.
- A:Answer This TV does not have composite (RWY) inputs on it. It has 4 HDMI inputs, Optical Audio, and 2 USB ports on the back. I wouldn’t let this deter you from getting this tv though. It’s a beautiful picture, with VERY responsive smart functionality. The contrast is great (dark blacks) and I came from a Plasma. If you’re spending this kind of money on a new tv, i would suggest buying a Bluray Player too. Samsung makes a pretty affordable one, and you won’t regret the upgrade in picture (even with regukar DVD’s they usually look pretty good with the upconvert) Hope this helps!

Q: QuestionDoes Q6FN 49inch model support FreeSync/VRR(Variable Refresh Rate) so I could use it with my Xbox One X? I heard that larger models do, but not 49inch, just need a confirmation.
Asked by ACI.
- A:Answer Only the 55 inch and up 2018 Q series ( q6 q7 and so on ) and nu 8000's ( also 55 inch and up ) support freesync. But the 49" q6 is still the best sub 55" TV on the market for gaming. I love it, but I wish they made smaller high quality TV's.

Q: QuestionI’ve seen complaints on other Samsung TVs models that the viewing angles from right to left are not the best. And the picture quility is good only if you are in front of the tv. Would that be true for this model as well? Q6F series 49”.
Asked by Sandy.
- A:Answer Sandy, As far as I can tell the 49" Q6 has good viewing angles. Mine sits to the left of my desk and my viewing angle to it exceeds 45-degrees. I have no problem watching it from here and there isn't much noticeable color loss or other issues from where I sit.
