Hi Daddio! You can connect the soundbar to the TV via HDMI ARC allowing you to continue to use one remote for all devices. ^Tim

Please try again later.Hi, While I'm not a tech expert by any stretch of the imagination, I set up both our Samsung soundbars to both of our Samsung tv's with a HDMI cable using the TV ARC output/input on both the soundbar and tv. This puts all of our audio output (all streaming services such as Netflix and our Direct TV) from the tv through the soundbar. This has proven to be successful with our use of a Direct TV remote, i.e. can use the Direct TV remote to raise and lower the volume of the audio output. I hope this helps.
