“How close does it need to be to the router?”

• It doesn't have to be close, but you don't want it to far as well.

• My set is one floor below the TV about 50 feet line of sight. Don't notice any problems but I do have the fastest wifi router that Linksys makes the wrt1900 dual band. And I am running it on the same channel (2.4gz) as every other device in the house.

• My wifi router is in the 2nd floor and TV is n the 1st floor. I dont have any issues with the wifi internet connection to my TV. The distance might matter if your internet speed is slow.

• it really depends on your signal strength and connection speed. I have 2 TVs connected to wifi, One sits about 45 ft away from router while the other one sits 70 feet away it works fine.
