“Is it okay to use a small lamp cord type extension cord Attached the the main tv to power the tv? Will it effect anything?”

No it should not effect the performance of your tv. Also you should always keep your electronics plugged in to a surge protector as well. Enjoy!

Hi Karen, most Samsung TV's use a grounded (3-prong) plug. As such, you'll minimally need a 3 prong extension cord and you should consider a surge protector. Power surges and TV's do not go well together.
