“Is it okay to use a small lamp cord type extension cord Attached the the main tv to power the tv? Will it effect anything?”

• No it should not effect the performance of your tv. Also you should always keep your electronics plugged in to a surge protector as well. Enjoy!

• Hi Karen, most Samsung TV's use a grounded (3-prong) plug. As such, you'll minimally need a 3 prong extension cord and you should consider a surge protector. Power surges and TV's do not go well together.
