“Are the audio outputs (optical and analog) to feed an a/v receiver variable, or are they fixed? Can I control the volume going to a receiver from the tv's volume control, or are those all fixed output and I would need to control volume from the receiver?”

• The ONLY audio output is a TOSLINK optical connector. The audio level over the optical connection is fixed. You'll have to control sound level from the receiver.
