• I use generic cables on my 4K tv. You will get the same results with both the expensive cables and the generics.

• If you plan on using this TV as a monitor to game on then you want an HDMI 2.1 cable to get 4K 60FPS, otherwise any high speed HDMI cable will do. MONOPRICE has good cables at a good price.
