• Yes to the first question. Download the Amazon Prime app to the TV, open the app and log in to your Amazon account. Then you can stream content from Amazon Prime. Yes (depending) on the second question -- the "base" is two t-shaped legs that hold the TV up fine, as long as you don't try to push it over. No guarantees if you have kids playing football in the house, or live in a seismically active area :) The User Manual for the TV actually includes instructions on "Securing the TV to the wall to prevent falling" if you want to do that.
