The main claim was that a curved screen is a more natural shape to take advantage of our round eyes' peripheral vision, which should mean curved TVs allow for a more immersive experience, as the curve should make them fill more of our field of view. Due to the curve, the overall size is approx 1" smaller. If you intend attaching the tv to the wall you will either need a bracket designed for a curved screen or if you intend using the less expensive Sanus Fixed TV Wall Mount you will need to obtain 4 bolts approx 1/4" longer than those supplied with the Sanus. Best Buy will be able to help if you purchase from them.
