“I just purchased this tv and I love it! But the picture freezes or will look distorted. Is this common? It also makes a high pitched noise every once in a while. Does this mean there is something wrong with the TV or is this a setting issue?”

You must have a defective TV. We purchased ours about a month ago and have not experience anything like you are experiencing.
