• I believe the speakers are pointed down. Not forward or back. As a result, the sound has more low end frequency (bass). Although the sound was better on this TV than my previous model, I ended up purchasing an inexpensive soundbar to help hear dialogue (voices) on some channels. Hope the info helps.

• The speakers are not clearly visible anywhere, so they must be on the back facing back.
