• A:Answer It all depends on your input , cab , sat, bluray etc. which is the basic plug in and turn in way ! You can also go into your tv settings and select dynamic for picture as that is the best input for hdmi ! The "soap opera effect" takes place in a channel and show basis. It varies but can be fine tuned in advanced settings :)

• A:Answer This isn't a $1000, $2000 or $3000 TV. So I don't expect much. Basically at the prices there selling for now I would say they are disposable. I'm hoping for 5 years but who knows. If you want a long lasting TV pay more and get the extended warranty it'll cost you.
