I'm happy to help with this, Bill! In order to use the Smart/Wi-Fi features, you will need to connect the range to the internet. I can also provide this link (https://bit.ly/3zzWxwQ) to the user manual for this model. Page 31 begins the section on how to connect and use the Smart features. ^Jecc

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You connect the stove to your phone through an app, I haven’t not had internet/ data so I’m not exactly sure. I’m assuming yes. I know Atleast to download the app you do. I just purchased this stove myself.
