Modern ovens don’t have pilot lights. They have igniters. Think of this as kind of like a spark plug.

Pilot lights were the main technology in igniting ovens in the past; however, with new technology emerging what we use to ignite our Samsung ovens are gas oven igniters powered by electricity.
