I turned on the griddle side both of them on high and they stay hot for over two minutes and never cycled off

Hi there! We appreciate you asking about this. According to page 24 of the user manual (https://bit.ly/3sDd9nD) it is normal for the element to cycle on and off to maintain the preset heat setting, even at high settings. ^Jecca

Can you use the griddle side without the griddle plate as a regular cooktop? Or does it only operate with the griddle plate?
