• The base is 21x13" and the length of the tv is 54". I use a stand that's 46x15 and it hangs off on each side a bit but it looks good I think. Hope this helps.

• The base of this tv is 20 in x 13 in. A 40" stand would work but it might look awkwardly small. I have a 52" stand and the sides of the screen are already about 1/2-1" over the edge of the stand.
